I am a Science student, will I be considered for admission to the BA English Programme?

Yes, we do admit Science students with Biology, Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics & Statistics and/or Computer Applications background.

Do you consider students with no background in English Literature?

Yes, you do not need to have English Literature background to enrol in this Programme.

If I do not know Chinese, will I be considered for admission to the BA English Programme?

Certainly, the Chinese Language requirement can be replaced by either French or German. We consider students who have passed German or French in GCSE or HKCEE.

I am a student from the Business stream taking Economics and Principles of Accounts. Will I be considered for admission to the BA English Programme?

Yes, we do admit students who have taken Business Studies, Economics and/or Principles of Accounts taken at AL/AS levels.

5.

What will most of the graduates do after they graduate?

Normally 10%-15% of our graduates will go for further studies. The rest are likely to develop their careers in the following fields:

•   Advertising / Public Relations
•   Civil Services
•   Marketing
•   Media Services
•   Teaching
•   Tourism
•   Translation

I am an Associate Degree holder, will I be eligible for application for admission?

Yes, Associate Degree holders should apply through the Non-JUPAS route. Normally Associate Degree holders will be shortlisted for an interview. The successful applicants will be admitted directly to Year 2.
